Saturday Snickers - 4/23/16

I can't tell you how many times people ask me, "Are you okay? Is something wrong," when I am just sitting there contentedly, staring off into space.

5 Brush Fonts You Won't Want To Miss!

Oooooops. There goes the nerdy, font-obsessed side of me again. But for those of you who suffer from the same incurable illness, this will be the ☀ of your day!

     Because.

     All.

     Of.

     These.

     Fonts.

     Are.

     Free.

Totally free. No strings attached, no fine print, no snare trap hiding under terms and conditions. These amazing fonts are your new best friends. #bestfriendsforever

     Let's get down to business.

P.S. - Forget how to download fonts? It okay. Here: How To Download Fonts.

     1.     Roomfer

The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dogs.

Of all the fonts in this post, this one is my favorite. Classy, yet chic. Brushed, yet readable. Scripty, yet elegant. It's perfect for quotes, titles, and pretty much anything else.

Download here.

     2. Pennellino
The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dogs.

This font has a lot of charm and uniqueness. It has a somewhat "creepy" effect to it (or is it just me?), but it's still super-duper pretty. 

Download here.

     3. Bakery>
The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dogs.
I love love love this font! It has a cool feature you might have noticed under the word. The > key creates a little swash under any word. You can emphasize your name, a title, or anything you want.

Download here.

    4 . Sophia
The quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dogs.

This font is soooo sweet! It's a little bit different than the others, because you'll notice the lowercase letters don't go up as high. It starts by making a statement with the big uppercase letter, then finishes with smaller, elegant letters. ❤

Download here.

This font is a little hard to read, but oh so pretty! I love the open loop in the h's, k's, b's, f's, etc.

Download here.

So there ya have it. 5 of my favorite brush fonts. Hope you have fun experimenting with all of them!

Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 Camera Review!

     Hey! 

So, I don't usually do reviews on stuff, but this is the exception.

I LOVE vintage things, from this cute desk phone to this 20's heels! <3 A lot of things from the "olden days" are coming back, like Converse sneakers , although they've always been "in;" retro phones; and Polaroid cameras. 

I've wanted to buy a Polaroid* camera for a while now. They are different than other cameras, in that, Polaroid camera are point and shoot cameras, which means that you take a picture, and the camera prints it for you, right then and there! You only have one hard copy of the photo, which is a pro and a con. Pro: it makes the photo special and meaningful. Con: you can't make copies of it, unless you take a picture of the picture. Shhhhh, I do that...

Well, I pooled all my Christmas money together and bought one! It arrived a few days later, and I quickly read the instructions and put the film in, eager to take my first picture!

I thought it would be really cool to take a picture of the Christmas tree, and more specifically, my cute stocking ornament. I didn't fully understand that the camera doesn't really focus too well, and that the lens is off-centered when you look through the view finder. You might have the subject in the center of the view finder, but when you take the picture, it will be off center. So I centered the stocking in the view finder, and it looked like it would focus really well. But when I took the picture, it turned out blurry and off-centered. It still looks pretty cool, but not like I thought it would.

This camera is easily the best thing I have ever bought!! EVER!! With every fiber of my being, I encourage you to buy one! The only thing you will regret is if you don't buy one. Seriously.

If you buy one, you obviously can't use it unless you have film. I found a package deal on Amazon, where you get the camera, a 10-pack of film, and a close-up lens, all for $89.99, which is pretty good, seeing that the camera itself can be between $65-100. 

Here's a few more pictures I took with my camera:

I can't believe how awesome this picture turned out!!
Where I display all my pictures...

* To clarify, Polaroid is both a brand of camera and a type of camera. My camera is not Polaroid brand, but it is a Polaroid type camera. It is a Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 brand camera.

Mug Party Pictures

     Howdy!

Last Saturday night, my best friend Jillian and I organized a Mug Party for the teen girls at our church. Every girl was to bring their favorite mug, and we would provide hot cocoa and lots of toppings, like whipped cream, sprinkles, and chocolate shavings.
After everyone had gotten their hot cocoa, we watched a few classic Christmas movies, A Charlie Brown Christmas and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. It was so incredibly fun, I decided to share a few pictures with you!

Most of these pictures were taken by Isabel, Jillian's sister. Gotta give credit where credit is due. 

Yes, that's me.

It was so good, I could literally just take a spoon and eat a whole container.
In one sitting. It's that good.

Slight rabbit trail: are these not the cutest leggings ever?!
Aaaaand they're fleeced lined. #doublewin

Cutest person at the party: Chloe <3
 Just chillin'

Look who showed up! Debrianna!

Miss Alyssa's hot cocoa creation

All the yummies...

Watching the movies... {and me looking, oh, so purty}

     Merry Christmas, everyone!

{I Heart Winter Tag}

So remember when I did this? That was so much fun! Let's do it again!

     But this time, WINTER!

     Okay, ready?

     Ready.

1. What is your favorite winter Starbucks drink?

PEPPERMINT MOCHA!!! Yum yum yum! ☕ ☕ ☕

2. What is your favorite winter treat?

Anything peppermint! But more specifically, peppermint bark. Mmmmm, so, so, so addicting!! Recipe coming soon. . .

3. Favorite winter food?

Venison Chili. If you've never tried this, you need to come to my house and eat it. NOW. :D

4. Favorite Winter Accessory?

Probably either knee socks, leggings, or scarves.

5. Favorite winter lip product?

If you're like me, your lips get SUPER chapped during winter. And that's why I love the Maybelline Babylips peppermint flavor! It leaves my lips feeling moisturized and peppermint-y fresh! Perfect!

6. Favorite movie to watch during the winter season?

Probably most definitely "It's A Wonderful Life!" <3

7. What's your favorite thing to read during winter?

Pretty much any book, cause it's soooo cold outside and soooo cozy inside. But I do LOVE reading classics, like Pride and Prejudice, Little Women, and such.

8. What's your favorite thing to do during winter?

Either break out the knee socks, sweaters, and blankets and cuddle up with a hot chocolate. ☕ OR go act like a little kid seeing snow for the first time and eat snowflakes, throw snowballs, and make snow angels. ❄

9. What's your favorite winter candle?

BB&W's Fresh Sparkling Snow. I don't really know what snow smells like. I would guess it would smell like water?? But this candle smells a-ma-zing!!

10. What's your favorite winter body spray?

It's a tie between BB&W's Vanilla Bean Noel and Winter Candy Apple! They're both so good!

11. Favorite winter humor? :D

12. Best way to spend a {snowy} night?

As aforementioned, curling up with hot chocolate and a book <3

13. What's your favorite thing about winter?

Hmmmmm, I would say that my favorite thing about winter would be CHRISTMAS!! I know that sounds cliche, but I seriously love Christmas!

14. What's your favorite memory of winter?

This one's easy. It's would definitely be sledding down the hill behind church with my brothers! Yes, that is Ben carrying me on his back. <3

15. Who would you like to see complete the I Heart Winter tag?

I really want to see Briar complete it!! Have fun!
