Happy Birthday

     Yesterday was my dad's birthday, and today is my mom's birthday. I want to take a moment and recognize them for all that they do for me and also wish them a very happy birthday! 

     My dad taught me that hard work always pays off.

     My mom taught me that kindness always pays off.

     My dad taught me that a little nerdiness now and then is ok. 

     My mom taught me that it's ok to laugh until you cry, which happens pretty often with us. 

     My dad taught me that a relationship with God is most important.

     My mom taught me that prayer works.

     Together, they taught me that, through the right amount of hard work and dedication, anything is possible!

     I love you both so very much, Mom and Dad! Happy Birthday!

Grumpy Cat is not happy that tomorrow is Valentine's Day.

My Bucket List

     Yes, I know. Bucket lists are sorta sappy and stupid.

     But they're nice to dream about. 

     So here's mine. It's sorta long, but I intend to shorten it in the future by crossing some things off. :)

1. Own a pair of Converse in every color.

2. Try every Ben & Jerry's ice cream flavor. Maybe you can help me with this...

3. Be an aunt. DONE! 

4. Own a professional camera.

5. Go to Hawaii. DONE! 

6. Visit the original Starbucks in Seattle.  

7. Move into an apartment with my best friend. Jillian shall we? :)

8. Learn fluent French. Oui, mademoiselle.  

9. Go into an airport and buy tickets for a random flight.

10. Own a Fujifilm Instax Mini camera. DONE! 

11. Be called Mommy, someday... 

12. Learn to shoot a gun. DONE! 

13. Grow my hair really long. 

14. Go on a spontaneous adventure.  

         Let me know if you wanna come.

15. Work in (or own) a coffee shop.

16. Visit Ireland.

17. Own a grand piano. 

18. Visit the Haiku Stairs in Oahu, Hawaii. 

         Maybe on my next trip to Hawaii... 

19. Get in a taxi and yell "Follow that car!"

20. Actually do things on my bucket list. 

     In other news, THERE'S FINALLY A VOLLEYBALL EMOJI!!!  

WOO-HOO!!! When I saw it, I literally gasped and said, "Whaaaaaaat?!"  Literally made my day.
